It’s one of those nights. You’re not in the best mood, and the internet (Etsy in my case) sucks you in. It’s also a rare night in Arizona…. it’s raining! It was windy and haboob-ish all day. Then came the down pour! What the heck Phoenix?
By the way if you don’t know what a haboob is…
They are pretty annoying. Any way…. as Etsy entranced me… thought I would post some favorite finds of the evening.
I can’t believe I started blogging, already 1 year ago… and so much has changed! Our blog is heading for a whole new start and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
I have been running around crazy lately with my busy schedule. But one thing that is coming up for me…I am moving! I am moving into a small guest house in Willo, the greatest historic district in Phoenix. I cant wait to give it my own little touch and share it. This is basically the first time I have been able to completely give a place my own style and make it my own. Can’t wait to show you all once it’s all done.
Anyways! To celebrate our almost 1 year birthday, here are some pretty little finds.
The holiday season came and went, and took my computer’s hard drive along with it! So sorry for my lack of postage as of late. But I am back! Still not as strong as before, but slowly but surely. (aka, as soon as I get my computer fixed)
I hope you all enjoyed your lovely holidays and the time with your families and friends. Mine were just grand. 🙂
In celebration of a new year… here are some new fun discoveries on Etsy!
I love the holidays. I could listen to Christmas music over and over, makes me feel at home and just plain happy.
I am currently in the phases of preparing for a small holiday party this Monday night (yeah, don’t know why a Monday, I guess a case of the Mondays always could use a cure.) Pinterest has once again sucked me into planning the entire party on a secret board. Let’s just say this party is going to be pretty great, not gonna lie. I will be sure to post pictures once all is said and done.
Any who on another exciting note… I want to informally announce that there are big changes coming for this blog! It’s a small ways off and I can’t really say much, but that it will be amazing! Keep a weather eye out….. 😉
Finally, to the point of my post. This encompasses everything I am loving this holiday season…. enjoy!
Thanksgiving is tomorrow! A day full of family, friends..and food of course! For those of you in America…you know the drill. Dress your best, show up at your aunt’s house, and eat. And then eat some more, and then some more. Don’t forget the pie.
So we all site down at a beautiful table and enjoy eachother’s company.
Ha! I wish the table looked like this… so pretty! Thanksgiving is probably one of my favorite times of the year. You are not obliged to buy any presents, all you have to do is show up drink eat and be merry! And of course be thankful. 🙂
Here are my ideal Thanksgiving/Fall Holiday outfit/items.
This whole no-shave November gimmick has got me thinking about a challenge of my own. For this month, I am not going to purchase anything clothing or accessory related. Necessities only. I spend way too much money on things I think I need, and am seeing my bank account suffer.
So this lovely month of November I will window shop! I will post things I am drooling over, and who knows, maybe by the end of the month I will know what I can afford and actually make a well thought out shopping choice!
After a little visit to the Ted Baker shop in Scottsdale, I have refound my love for bows. My former roommate and friend, Kelsey and I had a love for bows ( and still do). We loved finding corny bows to wear around the holidays. Take us back to our childhood and all that. while at the Ted Baker shop, I saw a few pieces featuring some great bows, and thought I would devote a post to just that. Bows bows, and more bows.
First off, we have the awesomeness that is this sweater from Madewell.
I am personally always looking for deals. Tonight’s post is focused on outfits and looks for affordable prices! I made a few different looks, under a few different price ranges. Being stylish and fashionable, does not mean you have to go into debt! The best part is, that all of these pieces are great for mixing and matching. These could all be staples in your wardrobe.
OK I may be a bit behind on this, but I blame my insane schedule and sickness this last week. So here are some of my favorites from the Emmy Awards Red Carpet. 🙂 I loved the retro Hollywood glamour that so many of the looks evoked.
I Loved Ginnifer Goodwin’s vibrant Monique Lhuillier gown. Such a different take on line and texture, with such a simplistic silhouette. The perfect combo! Love!
Emily VanCamp rocked this grey pleated J. Mendel gown…simply stunning! the intricate details make this absoutely gorgeous.
Of course, just about every time I see Tina Fey, I love her gowns she sports on the runway. I love her in this burgundy Vivienne Westwood gown. The beautiful gold embroidery adds the perfect touch of shine to this gorgeous gown.
And last but by no means the least, we have Leslie Mann in my favorite look of the night. This retro inspired Naeem Kahn gown just pops. I love love love the lacy looking bodice and the bright mango colored skit together. Such a perfect look. And not to mention the pockets and the high bun…. any dress that has pockets is way beyond perfect. And well….I love high buns 🙂
